"Ebola could flare up big time again"-Red cross

The Red cross said on Thursday that there is a possibility that the dreaded Ebola virus may flare up again in certain places.
Birte Hald, who leads the Ebola Coordination and support unit of the International Federation Of Red cross, said that the reason the virus may flare up again is because, not all infections are being reported, she stated that the virus is rearing it's ugly head in places like Sierra Leone and Guinea, and that there are small chains of transmission, which means that it is not under control.
She noted that West Africa would be lucky to wipe out Ebola this year.
Hald said that they have no access to some communities in Guinea, because the locals are still suspicious of the aid workers, and that there were "quite a number of incidents" of backlash in January.
"There are still some communities that think for instance that Ebola is spread through spraying chlorine, disinfecting of the houses, and it is the Red cross team that are coming with the chlorine,so they are making that connection"She stated.
The Red cross usually sends out Police and authorities a day before they visit in order to prepare the villagers,Hald said that if they don't get full access to Guinea, that the Ebola virus may become permanent in that area.
