"I have fulfilled all my 2011 campaign promises to Nigeria"-President Goodluck Jonathan

The President made this statement yesterday while inaugurating a five-seater air conditioned passenger inter-city rail transport system that will link Makurdi,Benue State with Port-Hacourt Rivers state.
The president who was represented by Vice-president Namadi Sambo said that the country has witnessed transformation,especially in the transport sector during his tenure.
"President Jonathan has ensured the fulfillment of the promises he made to Nigerians by transforming the country especially the transport sector as a critical infrastructure,today's event is a commitment of our unflinching services,this transformation is in three phases:System transition,system modernization and system stabilization".
The Governor of Benue state,Gabriel Suswam applauded the president for reviving the railway system which he said has been abandoned for the past thirty years.
The chairman,Nigeria Railway cooperation and former national chairman of PDP, Bamanga Tukur said the commitment of the federal government in the railway sector has boosted the economy.
However some Makurdi Residents described the inauguration as "window dressing",one of them simply described as Terkuma said that the event was just a campaign strategy to woo the Benue electorate,because according to him,it is not possible for a railway that has been moribund for thirty years to just come to life in three days.
