Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has threatened to sue popular blogger Linda Ikeji over a post she made about her on January 25,titled "Did Funke Akindele shade Toyin Aimakhu last night"?
Linda suggested on a post that an instagram picture posted by Funke was intended as a slight on fellow Actress Toyin,who recently seperated from her husband(but they are now back together),she suggested that maybe Funke tried to shade Toyin because the two of them had previously fallen out.
The management of Funke Akindele released a statement claiming that Linda made Funke to be exposed to cynical comments and hasty judgements,they also claimed that the post portrayed Funke's brand in a bad light,which has promoted unhealthy rivalry where there is none.
They claimed that the post was born out of pure malice,for Funke who has created a brand and carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry,while at the same time creating enemity between Funke and Toyin.
Linda was advised to remove the post within 24 hours and offer a retraction
Linda Ikeji is yet to make a statement about this.
